Today, the death toll rose to 240. Watching the news on TV about the tragedy makes me cry. I feel so sad for all the flood victims :( I can't hardly imagine the things they've been through. But then, those who survived were still lucky. They just lost their personal properties. They can be replaced. The lives that have been lost will forever be gone T_T In this time of tragedy, the "bayanihan" of Filipinos is so inspiring. It's so nice to see people helping one another.
On another note, I hope that this will serve as an eye-opener for us all. We can never win against the wrath of Mother Nature. We must learn to protect it in order to avoid another tragedy from happening again.
